Love the stick; the remote needs work.

Setup is easy, and it works as advertised. I use mine with the AC adapter, as it didn't seem to work well without it, though it's possible I hadn't made good contact. My TV's HDMI port is in a hard to reach location, so it took a bit of wiggling to get it seated.
As noted in the title, the remote needs work. At least once, usually 2 or 3 times, per viewing session, it just stops working. I have to pop out one of the batteries (these are FRESH batteries and they make good contact with the springs), reseat it, and then it works again for a while. I haven't yet bugged Roku about getting a new one, but I'm seriously considering that.

Should have bought a Roku 2 or 3

The remote is so sensitive that if you look at it the shows pauses. Loose connection a lot, even though WIFI is very strong. Love my Roku 3 in the living room, should have bought a 2 or 3 for my daughters room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use, excellent streaming quality

I received my Roku as a gift. I had no idea what to expect. It was easy to set up and start streaming. There are numerous sites to stream from, many providing free movies and documentaries. The streaming quality has been excellent. Search feature is amazing - your search reveals where you can watch your selected title from, and choose from the entire assortment, even allowing for cost comparisons. I'm one step closer to cutting the cable cord!

This is a biased review because I am a ROKU fan. There are two sides to life: Before ROKU and After ROKU. Choose to be happy with the features of the ROKU unit, the fast, responsive video and the rewarding picture outcome.

Wasn't sure of ability of stick size, but it now just an extension of my Roku 3, which is great. About 30 ft from router so not as fast as Roku 3, but it's in a bedroom, where there's no hurry.
