A great alternative to cable's high prices!!

I now have 2 Roku's, and LOVE them!! They are so easy to set up and use. The only draw back is some of the channels require activation, if you do not activate those channels have "commercials" I am looking at if the remote can be linked with a all in one remote. Since it is the up and coming fad the price might be a bit prohibitive as you need 1 Roku for each tv.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works OK like older box but slow response.

Bought the stick to eliminate some wiring tangles. It seems to work well but the remote seems to lag and have a slow response compared to my other boxes. Not sure why it has the slow response since it is an RF type remote.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Selection of Apps

The Roku Streaming Stick is great. I like it better than my Roku 3 because it is completely out of sight and works just as well (except I like the headphone jack on the Roku 3 remote). My only problem with streaming is that my wifi is spotty, which affects the Roku performance. Otherwise, it has replaced a lot of our "traditional" tv viewing.

Unresponsive Remote

I bought my Roku Stick because needed to get rid of electric wires given my twin toddlers curiosity to touch the connection and becoming a safety hazard to them. What I did not realize was that when used without the included power wire and sourcing it's needed power from the TV, it takes a long time to re-start the software. The other issue is that the included remote control turns unresponsive very often; to the point that we have to turn off the device (by turning off the TV) and make it work again. Sometimes this doesn't work also and have to use the iOS remote app to run the system. Not happy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Stick Out there

I have a Roku 3 upstairs and a Roku Stick downstairs. the difference in speed and ease of use is noticeable, and since you have to plug the stick into a power source its really not any more convenient. They both work great, I just should have shelled out more for the 3.

Nice simple solution

If you don't have a Smart TV, the Roku stick is a quick and easy way to add the apps you want to access for a small price. What I like most is the access to apps (Netflix etc.) seems to be much quicker via the stick than going through WiFi enabled Blu-ray players or an Xbox. Very happy with the Roku stick.
