This is my third Roku. As usual the programming is the best but I would not recommend the stick. Unless space is the issue the traditional Roku works better. My remote that came with the stick works poorly, I use my phone for the remote. The fit to my USB is loose, this is just a fair unit.
This is my 2nd Roku streaming stick. We have one in our kid's playroom and wanted one for the living room TV. It is the best thing ever!! We have subscriptions to Netflix and Hulu and it is the best and easiest way to watch what we want. The channels the Roku has are great too. Who needs cable or satellite?
Every time i use my roku it the remote loses communication with the streaming stick at one point. I either have to take out and re insert the batteries or unplug the stick and restart the system.
The remote does not respond well. When scrolling the device will keep rolling your selection even though you only advanced your selection by one click. Channels will freeze rather frequently. Need to reset the device a few times a month. This is our second Roku device; our first was the LT which we still use and have no issues with.
My Roku was a gift to me and I have really enjoyed the listings and watch what I want to and when I want to. I no longer have cable to pay for! The only con I would have is that you have to go through all the information entry if your wifi goes out. There must be an easier way of retaining most of your information without having to re-enter with the remote. I really dislike that.
Looked at all different makes and models- went with the Roku Stick, and I'm so glad I did! Easy to use, kid friendly as well, and never any streaming problems! Only 1/2 the cost of others, but acts big!
