So far it has worked okay, channels don't always look good. Certain channels fad in and out. But could be wireless internet, definitely need a high speed connection.
Just the idea of not having to settle for cable | satilite pays for itself. The Rock Stick was very affordable which helped when taken nag the risk. My kids love it along with a Netflix subscription. And I only have to have internet now instead of the combo.
We were very early adopters of the original Roku box and had been using it for many years when it finally died about a month back. Of course in the decade since my last purchase the technology has advanced enormously and we were eager to try out all the new features. So far we love the improved navigation (our old box was slow to respond to key strokes sometimes causing over clicking and other problems), not having to target the remote is nice and being able to control it via our phones is very nice (as well as being able to project content from said phones.) The only warning I would give is the stick is bigger than most USB drives so you might have an issue plugging it into your USB port, depending on the TV's design. I was just barely able to wedge the stick in to ours.
We bought the stick a month ago and have been very pleased especially since now with the srick you don't need to use an HDMI cable to connect the stick to our TV.
