Good Alternative to TV

I purchased Roku for access to SlingTV. So far, the streaming stick does what it is supposed to do. Not only does it enhance my Smart TV features, but it has provided a unique alternative to regular cable/satellite programming.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like it. I only wish that there were more channels. Like, for example, I wanted to watch Fox 1 Sports yesterday, and I was surprised to see that there was no option in my Roku stick. I know that I would have needed a membership to Xfinity, which we have, I just wanted to watch it in another room. I also wish that there were more games. The Netflix app is what I use most.

I like the roku the day it came. Easy to setup and very easy navigation. Has app for my ios device.
Two suggestions -
It will be great if it avoids tie ups like sling where no other broad cast channel application is allowed. As a roku user, i should be able to use all the good application. Its still great device and definitely recommend it.
Would like to have mirror image capability for ios device as well.

A lot of old TV shows, many many classic movies - there is a lot of good programming and some is poor. Need a strong wi-fi connection to make it work. Lots of waiting for "retrieving"

disappointing reception !

I bought this one month ago, and have used it in 3 different rooms. I have Comcast internet and a Comcast router/modem. Reception or Netflix shows is disappointingly poor unless it is very close to the router. Even then it is much slower than a Roku box!
The worst thing is it sometime drops a movie or show about half way through, Than its difficult to get it back!

Product works great. Remote does not, we use our phones as the the remote. Otherwise really enjoy it. Doesn't go out during storms like our Dish did.
