It took me barely 10 minutes to be up an running. I bought it primarily to access Southeast Asian channels. There was wide variety of programming available. I am really happy with the purchase.

Slow, slow SLOWEST

I returned my Roku streaming stick after 3 days. Every time I tried to watch something on Netflix, it would keep reloading, so the show would be continuously interrupted. I do not have this issue with our Playstation or either of the Bluray players we have. I returned it and picked up a second Bluray player.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I BOUGHT ROKU 2 MONTHS AGO BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE ON REDUCING BILLS.SO MANY SHOWS TO WATCH.YOU ALSO HAVE MUSIC VIDEOS AN TV SITCOMS.I LOVE IT

i like idea of watching movies but i dont like idea of having to keep pulling out controller batteries every time controller stops responding!!i dont know if anyone else had this problem but its r second one

I love the device. I'm hoping it will eventually feature USA, Discovery channels & SciFi channel. I'm going to cancel my cable subscription and will no longer receive Disney or Nat Geo without it. That bums me out. Please, Roku, negotiate the full lineup of cable channels & you will get many more hard core cable customers. Also wish I could turn off the device when it is not in use. It gets very warm.
