Love my Roku!

I bought this item a month ago and I'm really glad I did because I firmly believe that channels will continue to be added in the future and it is the wave of the future. Hopefully cable will disappear and for people like me who do not watch a lot of tv then we can pick and choose only what we want to see instead of getting a hundred channels but really only watch five or less.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was really enjoying this product, until the other day when I had to reset it!!! I hope it doesn't keep this up!!! The booklet said you will prob. never have to do this!!!

Problems

Had if for 2 weeks. Works for a while then goes out with no service.
I bought the stick version of ROKU and have to take the TV out of its built in tile surround over the fireplace to power cycle it. If you have a built in application get the #3 series. Much easier to power cycle and you will have to power cycle this unit.

I bought the Roku stick to get some online movie and TV services. Everything worked right out of the box without too much problems. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a five star rating is that the remote does not always work smoothly, and sometimes seems like things are sticking. Usually new batteries help, but it seems to use a lot of batteries. The features are cool and there seems to be a lot of free content.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Convenient for travel

Works great but the only issue is that some hotels needs you to go online to get free WIFI but if it is a password you can activate Roku, but with out it it is useless at some hotels that don't require a password, just online verification..

We bought one Roku Stick then after only a couple weeks we liked it so much we bought another for our bedroom TV.
The only negative seems to be frequent battery changes. Small investment to save about $100/month.
I would recommend this to a friend!
