Great features, when it decides to work

I bought my first one a few months ago and had to have it replaced because it was defective. I am now on my second one and it only works when it feels like it.

I was so hopeful when I got it and so far I am very pleased. If nothing else it has given me freedom from TWC! Yea! It was super easy to set up. I am still experimenting with the different 'channels' I can download, which I find kind of fun. There is a ton of content out there in the world. As far as the actual ROKU stick goes the only problem we have had is that sometimes the sound doesn't turn on. This is easily resolved by turning the TV off and restarting. So that might be the stick, might be the TV.
Thank you for saving me nearly $100 per month cable bill! I have to go download the Smithsonian Channel now....

Disappointed

My wife and I have a Roku 2 XD and love it. Got the Roku streaming stick for a different room in the house and have been extremely disappointed with the connectivity of this device. Good content and easy to set-up, but use is very frustrating. Do not recommend.

WiFi drops and remote disconnects from unit

Bought two units at the same time...both have same problems. Latest firmware update does not resolve.
Nice content options and user interface. Using Roku remote app on phone which is more reliable.
Fix WiFi drops and remote disconnects for higher rating.

If you can't get your player to connect with the remote, you can try the reset button in the remote. But if that doesn't work, there is another button on the player itself which will reset the player.
