Please don't buy Roku stick due to performance

Roku stick performance is up to the other Roku products. If you are heavy streamer, please don't buy this product. I have high speed connection, still loading takes a while. I would refund this product.

Streaming Stick

We have both the streaming stick and the Roku 2. Have never had any problems with the Roku 2, but a few hiccups with the streaming stick. The controller occasionally stops working and the batteries need to be taken out and put back in (replacing the batteries altogether doesn't change the glitch). Initially we also had trouble with the streaming stick freezing, which appears to have resolved. Overall we really like it, but would give it 5 starts if the controller functioned consistently.

Loving my roku!!!

Bought this about a month ago and I am hooked! I will never get cable or satellite services again. I have both the Roku2 and the stick. I would highly recommed the Roku2. The stick works great but my remote will not link so i downloaded the Roku app on my phone and use this as my remote. Thats the only problem I've had. Its the best thing EVER!!!

I love Roku and do not miss my huge satellite bill! I have SlingTV w/HBO, CBS Access, Netflix, and Hulu. I do not miss DVR at all . There is free Smithsonian channel and plenty of others. This is awesome!

Not what I expected

It was a bit difficult to set up and I was under the impression that it would be cordless. It works fine just wasn't what I expected.

Great Alternative to Cable

I purchased Roku upon my daughter's advice. Everything she told me about Roku was true: great shows, current network/cable access; works through WiFi; no cable necessary. Saving a TON of money yet able to watch all of the shows of which I am most fond. Roku is the front runner for the future and alternative to paying $$$$$$ monthly for cable television.
