We had a Roku 3 that we really appreciated but unfortunately it was struck by lightning (the lightning jumped from the metal fireplace frame to the body of the power supply). Our insurance settlement was pretty small so we opted to replace it with a Roku Streaming Stick. The major problem with the device is the associated remote. The remote truly has a mind of its own and it frequently loses its pairing. We never experienced this with the Roku 3. While the remote apps work fine on the phone, I prefer an actual remote. I look forward to giving this away and acquiring another Roku 3 soon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Make your regular TV smart

We now have two Roku sticks. This allows us to watch Netflix on our big TV screens. It is so easy to set up and use. Even my 80 year old parents have one.

Very good for travel.

I travel 4 days per week and use the Roku to watch Netflix in my room. I use the stick. It has worked every where I have traveled with no issues or problems. This is the product to use for travelers. I have tried others and have has connection issues. Great product!

Using this on a low bandwidth (5 mbit) connection and it still plays quite nicely!
