Have now bought two of these devices (one for each house!) so the proof is clearly in the eating! Really good if your TV is not near a router (as is the case with both properties) so you are relying on WIFI. Fits neatly behind the TV, but if the TV is tightly mounted against the wall and you have no other trailing cables showing you will need a suitable USB port on the TV to pick up the power for the device.
Wonderful. But while watching the movie. 3/4 of the way through is goes off you go back through and try to find it for the finish and you can't find it. Two dropped movies. I don't like that. Also they make you think your done with payments. Whit a cable company. That's not the case. You still have to purchase the channels that matter to you. With on going credit card payments. Not good.
I've been using my streaming stick for about a month and I'm really happy with the ease of use. My only problem is that the remote control doesn't always work. I've tried replacing the batteries, but sometimes it's completely unresponsive.
Got the Roku recently mainly for Youtube. Also using it some with Netflix. My biggest complaint is the remote. I wish it was easier to do searches, like some kind of a keypad or number pad. You can use an iPhone for the remote, but it is just like the remote that came with it. The only other thing is if you leave it plugged in, it will run the batteries down quickly. Other than that, I am pleased with it for what I needed it for.
I have 2 roku boxes in my home and they are perfect.....Unfortunately the remote to my streaming stick doesn't work so I haven't been able to use it. I've changed the batteries multiple times and it still doesn't work rendering my streaming stick useless. Which is sad because it's in my daughter's room and she loves her shows but can't watch them
