I had never heard of roku until I saw it in a store. Decided to give it a try since I was unhappy with cable. Now I don't know how I ever lived without it!

I'm enjoying my Streaming Stick

I love having no commercials, however, I am having a problem with the remote - I keep having to take the batteries out and put them back in for it to work. Also, it is slow going through the menus of available shows; this may be related to the problematic remote, however...

So far I've enjoyed the Roku service and the content it provides. The remotes' buttons can be a bit stubborn but that is overcome by the available content.

Portable fun!

Have two of these in my house along with a roku 3.
I Can literally just throw it in a backpack and take it to a friends house or hotel and it's just like being at home.
It's not as responsive as the Roku 3 and takes a bit longer to boot up bit it's not really a big enough deal to be frustrating. It still streams just fine. The newer remotes seem a bit cheap though.
Even with slight lag on loading channels, the movies show great, which is ultimately dependent on your wifi signal strength more than anything. Roku still has biggest channel selection, easiest interface, and best search of all the sticks and set-top boxes for streaming.
Only negatives: Limited live sports. HBO Now currently unavailable. I use the Go app but as soon as HBO Now gets released on Roku, I'm cutting the chord on cable.

I bought this 2 months ago. Once, it kept streaming at 55 percent so I had to reset it by pulling out the stick and unpluging the unit.

Solid performance in a small package

I bought this about a month ago and it's a solid device, the great things is that I have synced all three roku devices to a single roku account.
