One big drawback

We got the Roku stick thinking that would be easier than the box. Unfortunately the TV we wanted to use it on only has the HDMI plug in in the back of the TV which means the remote does not work. Unless you have the input on the side you should get the box. That being said we have liked having the Roku so my husband can get some of his sports channels since we have cut the cable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had it over a month now, been streaming on slingtv which is also awesome, saving over $130 a month on cable/wifi bundle. I absolutely love it.

Unhappy. I can't keep the stick plugged in all the time. After ever use I have to unplug the Roku stick and power. If I don't it gets really hot and becomes unresponsive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Best Bang for the Media Buck

We bought this primarily to use when we travel so we can keep up with Amazon Prime, Netflix, Showtime, HBO, etc.- since most of the condos & hotel have HDMI inputs on the Panel TVs. The ROKU HDMI Streaming stick, works great - just plug it in. Set up is about a 10 minute event and from there you are ready to sit back and watch from a list of thousands of channels. Great price, Easy set up and superb performance. It doesn't get any better.
