I already had a roku, but bought this streaming stick for my projector that I have on the patio. Works well, just wished that the channels that I have added on my other roku, synced with this one, as you will have to log into everything again, and move it all in order. One complaint that I have is that this needs to be powered by the USB cable, as well as being plugged into the HDMI. Im not sure if this is due to being plugged into a projector, rather than a TV, and it does not have the same power, but this is the case in my setup.
we bought a roku that was round and for older TV's. We love it and kept moving up and down the stairs. We went and bought a stick for the flat screen and are not as happy. It's set up and different and so much slower!
I have the other full size devices and they work better than this not sure if this is a bad device but it constantly is buffering (constantly) even though all the others will work fine independently or at same time. I have LOTS of bandwidth. I Know that is not the issue it is the device in fact we now use the smart TV more than this or the Blu-ray player. I would not recommend this to anyone but maybe over the cromecast.
