Enjoying it greatly

I purchased one for myself and another for my sister and her family mainly to access the shows offered by Acorn, netflix and Amazon -- since we have gotten them, have rarely been watching regular tv.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not that a good alternative....

The idea of having no more cables is good by having this plug directly in HDMI. However, the device is low on memory and crashes now and then....
The remote stops working after couple of days and you have to throw out the batteries....

Freezes up all the time, have to remove batteries out of the remote and reinstall to get it to work again. Happens at least 3 times a day!!! Junk!!!

Since using my Roku streaming stick, I can eliminate some of the extra channels that I have been subscribing to by my cable company, decreasing my cable bill by about $90 per month.

Very easy set up and ready to go

Bought the streaming stick recently. From box to use in less than 5 minutes. It helped that I already own 2 other Roku's.
One disappointment with the technology is the fact that you still need external power source to run. Even though my TV has a USB port, there was not enough power to run the Roku Stick, so another cord to the power outlet. You would think that TV manufacturers would have additional power ports on the back of the TV by now......
