Bought about a month ago. It seems to buffer a lot more than I thought it would. We had hoped to find more current or at least great older movies that you could watch for free but several of the movies are just trash and you have to pay for new one. Cheeper than going to Red Box????
I got the Roku 2 for my older TV about a year ago. Love it. Lots of free channels and it also lets you stream rentals and paid channels like netflix and hulu+. I won't pay for dish or cable, So for me it is a good fit. Lets me have more choice for entertainment. Even if you have dish and or cable its a good deal as it increases your choice of TV shows.
My husband wants to get rid of cable so he purchased a Roku for our living room TV about a year ago. I have a TV in my sewing room but have problems getting Netflix (I can connect to our neighbor's Nefflix but not ours) so after many frustrating months of trying to resolve the issue, we purchased the Roku stick. It was so easy to install & set up that I'm ready to get rid of the cable all together. We've never had any issues with our Roku & love it. We love technology.
I've had the Roku stick for over a month or so and for the most part I'm happy with my purchase. I'm still getting use to some of the features but it's easy to use. The only problem I've had is the stick getting stuck. I have to occasionally remove the batteries and replace them to get it working again, which can be annoying. I like being able to use Roku through my tablet and cell phone.
I've has the stick for about 3 months. I got frustrated with the smart TV and wanted a bteer way to stream and roku had the most recommendations and comments. It's works way better than the TVs smart hub Samsung apps. Loads quickly, easy interface, good video quality. It sometimes seems like it's under powered or doesn't release memory and I have to unplug it, the reset seems more like a fastboot and doesn't help. Not often maybe once a month. Otherwise worth the money, super cheap entertainment. I recommend it to everyone. Shows I forgot about are out there and I can binge on them anytime.
