Good at first

I bought the streaming stick a month ago and it started out working great but now it tells me the wifi isn't connected so I'll go into the settings and connect to the wifi and it says it's connected and everything's fine and then I'll go into Netflix and it won't play or load because it says there's no wifi. You can imagine my anger when I can never watch anything on it. It's a great product with tons of different things to watch just make sure your right next to your router or it will never work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great device with a few problems

Cutting the cable is a pleasure with is small device. I use power from the USB on the TV so not outlet required. I had a bad remote with my first stick, but BestBuy took it back without question.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought Roku about a month and a half ago to use on my not smart tv. I found it to be really easy to set up and get running. works with all my streaming services seamlessly. Like it a lot.

Good item for the price

I have my second Roku stick as the first one failed after about 7 months. I purchased another one because i thought it could be due to power surge. I have the new one connected to the TV USB port and the TV is on a surge protector. This item is just as fast as the Roku 3 although with less features. If all you want to do is watch television, this is the Roku device for you.

Burns through batteries like no other!!!!

I purchased this product through SlingTV. At first, I was totally stoked to be able to watch normal tv for a change (we deactivated cable/satellite 4 years ago), but after 1 (only ONE) day, I already had to change the batteries. So I put in rechargeables, but just like the others, I was changing them the very next day. So, eventually I went to the store and bought Energizer Ecoadvance batteries, these seemed to last about 2-3 weeks, but I had to change them today. So, when I received my email to review this product, it couldn't've come at a better time (for a honest opinon). It's a good thing this thing was free, bease I would've been very angry if I dumped any amount of money on something that'll make me buy batteries every week/month.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sucks

Worked for 10 minutes, then had to boot. Remote lost contact with stick. Have to reboot every 10th use
