I bought a month ago I am very happy except that the back battery cover constantly falls off and I also have to keep taking the batteries out and reinstalling because the remote freezes up all the time

Useful TV Stick!

I originally bought a Roku box about a year ago and whilst looking at apps that I could subscribe to found one with the Roku stick added to the subscription as a bonus and I can't be more pleased with it, it is great!

I installed this on our outdoor TV we have on the enclosed patio. Forget the antenna or cable hook up . Everything you need is provided by the Roku stick.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good features, UI, apps; remote fails often

The remote often does not connect to the stick. Wriggling the batteries sometimes help, but sometimes not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Even though we don't have the band width that we are supposed to have to support this Roku stick, it works really well. We love the feature that backs up 7 seconds and, if programs have "closed caption" ability, it prints the words you couldn't understand because someone mumbled, etc. That's why we want to back up! Easy to set up. My only disappointment is that the BYU channel programming seems to be very limited. I thought we would get the actual channel and all it's programing. Other than that - Love it.
