Opens up a whole new world.

Bought the Roku stick over a month ago. It has expanded our TV viewing a lot. We do not have dish or cable. Many choices of free channels and Amazon streaming is awesome.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only works sometimes

When it works it works fine but about half the time it won't respond to commands from controller. I use Netflix frequently and many evenings I end up watching it on my tablet because although my Roku- opens and loads Netflix the system will not scroll through the movie choices or load or start movies. Strangely, on other nights, it works fine. My tablet, using the same router, always works for Netflix. Sorry - got to give Roku- only two stars - and that's a stretch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great option for those without a "smart device"

For what it is, it works great, especially for those without a "smart device", like a playstation or smart-tv, etc. The remote and controls can be a bit awkward to get used to, but that varies depending on what app you're using and isn't necessarily a fault of Roku but perhaps how the individual apps are set up.
My only complaint, truly, is that it is pretty slow. We use it to access Sling, since we don't have any compatible devices for Sling, but we will continue using our PS4 for Netflix and Amazon Prime, etc.

I REPLACED MY VERIZON FIOS ACCOUNT WITH ROKU STICK . NOT ONLY AM I SAVING MONEY BUT AM ENJOYING THE FEATURES THAT I HAVE WITH IT.I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SAVE MONEY AND STILL GET TO SEE WHAT THEY WANT.
