This is the first Roku stick we purchased. We have the 2 the only complaints I had with it is that it periodically losses connection and we have to reset the remote to start working again. Which gets quite annoying. But with Netflix we can now choose our profiles with the 2 you only get the main profile.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very easy to set up and operate, and so small!! Much better than having the video gaming consoles in the living room taking up space.

I'm not really excited about the Roku Stick. I seem to have to unplug it and let it reset in order to use the Netflix feature.

I have basic cable, but I do not watch a lot of tv. I bought the Roku stick so I could stream Netflix, Hulu and YouTube. I'm very happy with it. It was easy to set up and is very easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cheaper, slower, less quality features than Roku 3

Got mine for 39.99 at Sam's club for a "portable" TV. Good if you have strong WiFi. I have 2 Roku 3's that are Ethernet connected. I can compare the 2 versions. On the whole Roku SS is:
+ Convenient
+ Cheaper
- Slower (WiFi vs. Ethernet)
- Remote buttons are less responsive (require more solid "clicks" than Roku 3.)
- Overall remote "quality" impression is lower than Roku 3.
- Lacking ear phone/ volume capability (which would be a plus for a roll around bedroom TV)
+ Convenient
+ Cheaper
- Slower (WiFi vs. Ethernet)

- Overall remote "quality" impression is lower than Roku 3.

Bottom line: For the few dollars more the Roku 3, ethernet connected - (have not used wifi with Roku 3 I am a "copper" man) is:
+ More versatile (wiFi or Ethernet)
+ Faster (Ethernet)
+ Higher quality remote.

+ More versatile (wiFi or Ethernet)
+ Faster (Ethernet)
+ Higher quality remote.
+ More features (Headset capable)
+++ I recommend spending the extra few dollars for the Roku 3 +++

easy to use with many viewing choices

I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at the amount of content. I got one for my father so he could watch the Opera channel.
