We have a total of four (4) Roku streaming sticks working in our house. Saves me a pretty penny each month for not having to have cable boxes on each TV. BUT...being WiFi, watching tv with Roku slows our home network (as does any other device), and sometimes results in (what I consider) an excessive amount of "buffering" on the tvs equiped with Roku. All in all, I consider Roku Streaming Stick to be a good product.
My wife and I have permanently cut our ties to cable / satellite .. we were searching for just the right streaming media device and jumped at the chance to own the Roku ... great product, especially great with our Netlifx and RealTimes apps!!! The only down side it is occasional "buffering" of the shows ... but we can definitely live with that!! love, love, love it! The only additions we would like to see is the Discovery Network and HGTV.
I was fed up with the high cost of my "Basic" package with DISH. I bought three of the Roku sticks (only have installed 2 so far) I love the options we get with these on the TV and programs that we like to watch. HOWEVER, Sometimes it freezes and we have to unplug t and plug it back in. I guess it would be like having a rain storm and the DISH gong out) Other than that I like the Roku!
