I bought this a month ago and am enjoying watching both recent and old shows immensely. Best thing I ever did. Price is decent for Hulu Plus and Netflix. I haven't begun to check out all the free sites.

Great when it works

I bought a couple of these during the holidays. We love streaming services (Netflix, vudu, on demand premium channels) so I thought this would be a perfect way to do this on my non-smart tvs. However, endless troubleshooting, resetting the stick, changes to my router and wireless settings still don't provide me with a stable connection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too good to be true

The streaming stick is the 7th (!!) Roku I've purchased, having
given four as gifts. It works perfectly and, because of its tiny
size and near weightlessness, is easily portable. Another plus
is that it can be plugged into a USB port. It just doesn't get
any better than this!

Road Trip with personalized Entertainment!

I am on a Road Trip from Miami to Maine (and beyond into our Northern neighbor). Gone are the days of checking out lodgings with HBO, with my trusty Roku stick and my Netgear Trek router all I need is free wi-fi and a TV with an HDMI port. That way no matter how far I am away from home, my viewing schedule comes with me!

Works but not great

I bought this awhile back.. the remote is very touchy, it take a long time to get from one app to another. Searching shows in nearly impossible. I don't know maybe we got a bad one.

I recently made the switch from cable to roku and have yet to look back. Roku is affordable, portable, very user friendly, and offers fast streaming of thousands of shows, movies, news, and more! I just wish I had made the switch sooner.
