Good item for those who want to ditch cable

I've had my roku a few months now. Overall i love the tv watching capabilities. Only negative is it seems to have some connectivity issues after a while and I'll have to restart the system every so often. Thinking of trying the amazon stick for my other tv to compare and contrast

Stick to the Regular-Sized Roku Players

I love, love, love Roku, but not the new stick. I have two other players which I love. The stick is convenient for my thin TV, but I find it to be very slow in response. Sometimes I have to get up and put the remote inches away from the stick in order for there to be response on the TV. Also, the format onscreen with the stick is different from that of the other players I have. I say get the Roku in regular player size (which is very small and convenient) and skip the stick. My ratings below are for the stick only.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

100's of app/channel options. Anyone should be able to find something they can relate to. My only issue is the remote not working. I constantly have to change batteries and re-sync the device. If not for this issue, I would give 5 stars.

I'm impressed by the amount of program possibilities that are offered. I just wish there were more live TV streams. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Bought this about a month ago. It was easy to set up and use. Now enjoying Acorn TV, Netflix, etc. Many channels available.
