Not working properly

I am having some problems with the remote because it gets stock all the time to move forward to choose movies

I bought my second Roku (the Stick) for the TV in the Kitchen so I can watch the sports channel or the music channels.

Disappointed

I purchased the Roku as an alternative to a high cable bill but sent it back after less than two weeks.The bigest reason I chose Roku over Firestick was because it advertized free weather and news stations. The weather station was essentially a low budget version of an app I could download on my tv and one of the ads which you have to watch in order to get the free weather report consistently blew it up. The news options were more like magazine shows. Informative, but not daily headlines. There was a service interruption that interfered with even being able to use the Roku for the first few days I had it. It offered a lot of free movies but the channels almost all required a subscription or cable service which defeated the purpose. The system was clunky and the remote only worked intermittently. Since I have a smart tv, a streaming blu-ray player, and an Amazon Prime account, I felt that Roku did not add any value and was extremely frustrating to operate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well MOST of the time

I got this device in order to stream Sling TV. It works well most of the time.
I enjoy the free channels for the grandchildren.
Lately, however, it goes on and off.
Internet seems to be fine.
Unplugging as suggested has not improved the problem.
Online chat is very slow, takes a long time,to link with someone, but the customer service is good.

Roku 3 more stable than stick

I have a Roku 3 and I have been very happy with it. I bought a Roku stick for a secondary TV and it is not as good because it is not as stable over wireless.. Often it disconnects. The Roku 3 does not have this issue over Wireless connection.Also the remote has issues were the text gets stuck. Again, the remote that came with the Roku 3 does not have this issue. Other than those two issue I have been happy with the Roku stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku forever

Normally I give my Roku's five stars, however this time I gave a 4 star rating for my stick. It's not because it isn't as awesome as my others but that I had purchased this for my grandchild and their TV supports HDMI but the stick is too long to fit in the area. No worries though, they will get one of my older models and I use the stick on mine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frozen

I bough this a month ago. The first day it worked fine...but after about an hour everything kept freezing. I thought maybe it needed a break so I unplugged it. The next time it continued to freeze. I work a lot so I let it alone for a week. When I tried again it still kept freezing. I rebooted it several times and changed the batteries in the remote. It doesn't work. I would have taken it back but its been over 14days :-(
That fist day it was easy to use and had a great selection...it seemed like good value until it started freezing. I followed the set up instructions...seemed easy. I gave low stars because since it doesn't work there is no selection or ease of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small Device, Big Content

The streaming stick is great for wall mounted TVs. Roku has great content and is easy to setup. I am having an issue with the remote losing connection with the device constantly. I have to remove the batteries each time to get it working.
I would recommend this to a friend!
