Ongoing Internet Connection Problems

Every evening when I tried to use my Roku Streaming Stick, it had trouble connecting to the internet. Every other device in my house (two computers, two iPads, and two iPhones) engaged my wireless internet just fine--but never the Roku Stick. Some evenings, after ten or so attempts, the Stick finally connected. Other evenings, I just gave up altogether and did something else. (Maybe Roku is doing us all a favor by forcing us away from our TVs.) According to what I read online, this connectivity issue is a common problem among Stick users, and there are lots and lots of suggestions for how to fix it. Here's an idea: Roku should create a Stick that actually works, or take this piece of junk off the market. Until that time, I've thrown away my Stick and I'm happily using a device that works perfectly: Every. Single. Time. I. Use. It.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My HDTV fortunately has both HDMI and USB ports. Made for easy installation and operation.

Very cool when it works, but I've lost track of the number of times I've plugged and unplugged, and had to start over from zero (and then re-enter all my information again). But ... love it when it works.

when it works it is awesome.. but freezes up I have to take out batteries and put back in to get to work sometmes

This is my second ROKU. I love the fact that I can watch Acorn TV which has the best British shows ever. I love the Amazon channel. I also can watch ESPN games that are not on my TV. During the summer there is nothing good on Satellite TV and I watched ROKU with the many channels that were available.
I would recommend this to a friend!
