Streaming Stick is slow slowly

I really liked the Roku streaming stick in the beginning but after a while the movies and apps got slower and slower. When I checked to see my wifi connection my signal was strong. Also Netflix worked for about a week and now it won't ever load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like it overall

I like it overall. The first stick arrived and I plugged it in. During configuration, there was an issue connecting to the Internet. My laptop was showing the Internet active and I launched a browser to confirm. I had to in essence turn off the firewall for the Roku to connect. After the first connection, I was able to restore my firewall settings and the Roku continued to work.(-1 star). Second issue is the batteries would die daily. I kid you not. Almost every day I was replacing batteries. After a few days and troubleshooting online, I returned the device for another. The new remote does not require daily batteries. (-1 star)
I like the overall interface and the number of apps. Apps I use are: ESPN, Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Sling, PBS and few others. I do wish there was a second interface where it looked similar to TV Guide. Would make channel surfing easier.

Have competitor's streaming devices but, now own 2 of the Roku Streaming Stick and love them! So simple to use!

Goes out too often

I get a strong wifi signal but Roku goes out too often, sometimes it is out more than it is on and I just give up and use my blu ray.

Great Product

I have nothing but praise for my Roku Streaming Stick. My only gripe is with the remote control which is very flaky. However, if you have a smart phone all you have to do is download the Roku app which mimic all the controls on the remote.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this for my seven month old to watch her shows on Netflix and the like. I love how it automatically goes to the next show but I wish we could choose whether it plays only for a few shows or continuously. Other than it not loading sometimes and what I said above I love everything about Roku!!! I have one in each room
