I cancelled my $85 a month cable and bought this. Yes, I can't see all my favorite programs, but there are plenty of other programs to watch. I love PBS with it's documentaries and nature shows. The only problem is that some channels are not available because they want me to list my internet service, but it isn't on the list.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Remote keeps disconnecting.

The product is wonderful, but the included remote keeps disconnecting. I've re-paired it multiple times and it keeps doing it. Sometimes I can get it working again by taking the batteries out and re-inserting them. Sometimes that doesn't even work and I'm forced to use the app.

I have so many friends and family members who already use Roku and I've heard nothing but great things. I hated the cable package that we had. Buying Roku has freed me up to watching what I want whenever I want.

Roku works fine but first one I bought had to be returned to the store bc it wouldn't connect was a bit of an inconvenience

Remote

I has been 2 months since I bought my roku 2. Everything was going well until I've noticed that my roku remote wont work unless im pointing at the little box reciver. Now I need to hit the roku remote every now and then in order for it to function.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We live too far out in the country to get reception with Roku Stick.
Great if you live near the city's wide reception areas. I wouldn't recommend the Roku unless you know you have the necessary reception values in your area. The content is great if you can get reception; I rated everything else "Poor" because we can't use it.

We bought this over 7 months ago. For the most part it is great. There are time the stick get too hot due to it being connected to the TV. When this happens you have to rest the stick from your computer each time. We have done this 6 times already. I some times the signal is weak from the WiFi.
I would recommend this to a friend!
