Much cheaper than cable

Downfall is that it has to be re-paired to the remote almost weekly which is a pain

Small and good

Got the stick in a deal with Sling TV. Very happy with Roku stick, little disappointed with Sling TV (great idea, needs work on software).

Yes I'm happy so far. Got it only for a few extra channels, like : Amazon, MetOpera and German News Cast. I also have Apple TV and these channels are not on it. You should advertise the variety of channels you offer .

super convenient

I bought this after using my blue-ray player for the longest time to stream. After a few cumbersome updates with my player, i decided it was time to move on to a stand-alone streaming device. The Roku is awesome as a streamer: it saves space by staying out of the way of other devices, it has the apps that I use all the time, and I can use the remote without facing the device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A little disappointed

We got our stick free when we paid for 3 months of Sling up front. We were disappointed that there weren't more free channels. Most of them require a subscription and the ones that are free don't have much on them. Also, our Sling TV freezes and cuts out who I had to be due to the Roku because when we watch Netflix on the Roku it does the same thing sonetimes. Overall we enjoy the Sling TV part because it enables us to watch some of our favorite shows again but not impressed with Roku overall.

Too slow

I bought the streaming stick for the bedroom, after already purchasing a roku 3 for the living room. By comparison, the streaming stick is way slower and it can be very frustrating. Roku is great, but I would recommend going with the roku 3 rather than the streaming stick.
