Wide Range of Channels!

I previously purchased a Fire Stick because the side by side comparison in it and Roku showed it to be the better buy. I must say that after setting up the Fire Stick I wasn't happy with the limited amount of channels. I subsequently purchased the Roku at the advice of a friend and let me tell you, the Roku is packed with so many options it's ridiculous. I was truly blown away with all of the selections that are available. Everything I was looking for was there for my selection, unlike the Fire Stick. If you are looking for a wide range of channel selections then Roku is for you!

Works even when my cable box doesn't

My primary use for this is to add TWC to other TVs in my home without having to rent the box. I am very pleased with the performance of the ROKU stick, to the point that we have one on the TV that has the mandatory TWC cable box. When the box doesn't work due to TWC issues, the stick does! We also use the DLNA features, Amazon video, Vudu, and Netflix. All work without issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are enjoying being able to stream tv shows that we watch from different services all in one place! Wish that more tv providers made their shows available without a cable subscription but that's not Rokus fault.

streaming stick was great, remote not so much

have had no problems with the streaming stick itself. have thoroughly enjoyed having it. the remote has had issues from day one losing sync constantly though. I'm glad they made the smart phone app because without it I would probably be so busy throwing the remote that came with the device across the room to actually enjoy the product

Roku Streaming Stick

I bought this a month ago. We like it, but we are not happy with the remote control constantly needing new batteries. It would be nice if something could be done about that. So we downloaded the ROKU app to our phones and use our phones as a remote, but we are having some problems with our phones as they often get frozen when we try to change channels. It would be nice if there was a volume control on the ROKU app rather than using our remote control for our TV. I was confirmed that HULU was downloaded today for the free trial through an email, but it is not working yet. Am not sure what the problem is because I could not go to the link at HULU provided because HULU did not recognize my email account even though ROKU sent me an email confirmation that I was signed up. I have recommended ROKU to several people. Wondering how long it will work and what the warranty is. ROKU can make money from people signing up for different services so it would be nice if the stick and remote would work forever?
