Problems with the Remote

The Roku itself works like any other Roku, but the remote control is the issue. The remote control is the only reason for the low rating. I have a Roku 2 and have used it for over a year and have never had any issues with the remote, but once I bought the Roku stick, 10 minutes after I plugged it in the remote stopped working. I changed the batteries thinking the batteries were dead, the remote started working again, then 30 minutes later the remote stopped working, If I pop the batteries in and out, then it starts working again. I thought it was defective, and i was going to take it back and exchange it. Before doing so I started reading online that others were having issues with the remote as well. It sounded like some kind of wireless problem/defect with the remote. I would of bought the regular box Roku or an Amazon stick if I knew I would have remote problems. I spent alot of time trying to decide whether to buy a Roku, Roku stick, Amazon stick, apple tv, etc.I am dissapointed about the remote issues and I would not choose the Roku stick nor do I recommend it. Stick with the traditional box top roku or try something else if the remote is important to you. I understand that there are Roku remote phone and tablet apps, but this does not help when my children want to watch something and the remote does not work. I should not have to pop the bateries in and out everytime someone wants to use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works Perfectly, But Make Sure It Will Fit

I bought the Roku Streaming Stick for a smaller television in our bedroom. But, discovered there was not quite space enough for it to slide into the port comfortably. So, I simply moved the Roku 3 from the living room to the bedroom, and used the stick on the larger TV in the living room. It worked instantly, perfectly, and I hardly know it's there. And, with less clutter. Some report slower loading times, but I haven't notice and any difference is not consequential to me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

poor wifi connection- poor remote connection

I got this stick with my Sling package- it has poor connectivity issues. Also, I have to constantly reset the remote connection because it stops working for no reason.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My remote control does not work. I tried changing the batteries, but still does not work. I don't like controlling the features through my tablet.
