I love my Roku stick, and have one on each of my three televisions. Guests love it, kids love. I don't need any of the features of the more deluxe models.
I purchased this 2 months ago and l had trouble accessing my cable channels so l had to disconnect the ROKU from my TV set. It was to much trouble to use. This was my second one. Same issue with the first one.
Kind of glad to try the Roku, but I am receiving poor quality, not sure if bad make or my internet is causing this. I am having to unplug daily and in the middle of a movie... Please help thanks... Teresa
I've had a Roku 2 for years. Recently we moved to be closer to my wife's mother & she had wifi but no Roku. So if figured I could buy the Roku stick for the bedroom and when we visit her mother I could take the Roku stick with us. The plan works great. I can change the wifi connection very easily from one location to another and stay connected to my favorite shows. Next time we go on vacation I'm going to take the Roku stick with us. It doesn't take up any room & it's very portable.
I bought Roku in hopes of being able to cut the cable and stream the programs I like. Unfortunately, for most of the channels such as HGTV, Food Network, etc., you need a cable subscription to access them. A bright spot--PBS seems to be fully accessible and truly free, which is great since PBS is not available on-demand (at least not on FIOS. The Roku stick is very simple and works just fine for what it is.
