Not As Good As The Other Models

We purchased the Roku Streaming Stick because the Playstation wasn't doing the trick anymore. We have a ROKU box in the bedroom and in lieu of having one more box sitting on our entertainment center in the living room, we opted for the stick.
I wish we hadn't. While there are many pros about this product, the one big con is making us regret this purchase. The big issue with this particular ROKU product, is that the menu sticks/hangs. Applications and the menu itself takes forever to load. In addition, the applications don't work as smoothly on this device. Often, the remote doesn't seem to communicate with the device. I tried changing the batteries, but that did nothing to help.
While overall the ROKU products are convenient and easy to use, this particular device causes more frustration than enjoyment. It's a real time-waster.
We may have to consider dropping this device and searching for something new.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had the origanal roku. We could only have one profile on it. I love the multiple profile feature.

I bought this about a month ago so I can stream shows on the tv in my bedroom, without having to put a cable box in there. Love my options, especially the music.

Not your usual Roku product

I own 5 Roku products, including this one. Never before have I had so much trouble getting a Roku product to work. I had to install and uninstall the Roku stick about five times before I got it to communicate with the remote. I followed the instructions in the package as well as more instructions I found on line. It took me two days to finally get it working, and I still don't know what I did that finally made it work. This one needs to go back to R&D, Roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freezes up

I like the roku 3 but not the stick it keeps freezing up I have to remove a battery and then replace it to get to work again.

I Love It!

I received this as a gift from my boyfriend over a month ago. It was his, however he purchased a smart Blu Ray player. I love it. Now I can stream Netflix, Hulu, and Crackle on my television. Also, I love that you can select which channels you want to download to the streaming stick. I love the stick so much I am thinking of purchasing a Roku 3 for the holidays as an early Christmas present! :)
