Excellent for Traveling

I own three other Roku 3's for use at home. So I purchased this Roku Stick because I travel quite a bit. I love it because it is compact, easy to carry in my bag, not bulky, and just as easy to use at the Roku players I use at home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought it to see if we can on cable. But there are no local channels on. Might have to purchase another application? Overall great for 1st timers.

I am so very happy with my Roku, I only wish I had made the change sooner--thanks to my cable company, because of your rate hikes, I found Roku.

Not Very Happy!

I purchased the Roku Stick a few months ago with the intention of using it in my office/craft room. Unfortunately it only seems to work half the time. I am using WiFi to clarify but we have a very good connection with all of the other electronics we stream with so as far as I am concerned, this should be no exception. We have two other Roku 1's and they work fine 90% of the time. It glitches out quite a bit and locks up to the point of having to take out the batteries and syncing the two pieces together again to get it to work. Overall, I may return it and simply purchase one of the other units or try an amazon fire stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the range of free apps and channels.

I bought this a little over a motnh ago in order to be able to watch SlingTV on my TV in the bedroom. In the meantime I have discovered several new channels that are free that allows me to tailor what i watch. Due to having a TV that is over 5 years old and the HDMI input is in the back of the TV, I do find that the ROKU routinely doesn't receive input from the remote.

Love that it just plugs right in the back of the tv without needing another box & cables to deal with. I wish it was a little more quickly responsive, but I understand the pricier models have the faster processors... no biggie. The remote is great. It'd be kinda cool if you could choose which apps were on the bottom shortcut buttons.
