My TV has been sitting unused for 4 years .... sad story. I've been watching my shows off a 8" Kindle. Since I've bought the Roku, it's been the best buy I've ever made and my poor TV hasn't had a break! My eyes have seen the glory... and a break... to some extent :)

Roku stick

I have had this product now for a little over a month. At first it worked very well, but I am now having problems with it. Sometimes it starts and then hangs, not going to the main menu. Other times it starts and the screen is garbled. These things are becoming more and more common. When it works, it works well, but it is frustrating having to restart over and over again to get it working.
I would recommend this to a friend!

While we love the ease of watching just about anything we can imagine without commercial interruptions, I wish the remote control worked better. We have changed the batteries several times and each time we try to use the remote, we have to remove the batteries and replace them. The ROKU itself is awesome, the remote, not so much.

Compact and hidden

Yes, bought this a month ago. Excellent in viewing all around. I checked up on some other blogs and people are having the same problem as me. The remote stops working any time it wants. I have to disconnect the battery and put it back in, for it to work again. If you really read this, you think you could furnish me and the others with new remotes? Thanks and have a nice day!

Love how it works when it works

This is the second stick that I have bought for my granddaughters tv and they will lock up on me every once in a while, which can be aggravating when she is in the middle of a show she really wants to see. When it does work it is great and we love it. I have the Roku 3 box and I have not had this problem with it. I have recommended the stick and the box to many of my friends and also people who talk about how high their cable bill has gotten {that is the reason we went from cable to Roku}. The Roku is great other than that one problem and many shows have to be bought but we do not watch that much tv anyway so this is not really a problem for us. Our granddaughter watches the most tv in her room so it locking up can be a pain but like I said this is the second one and it does the same so it may just be a glitch with the stick but we do like the Roku all in all.
