There seems to be some issues in this model. I returned mine because it would not respond. The screen would go to "sleep" and I had to power cycle the unit to get back to a home screen. I was unhappy with the performance of the streaming stick and returned while I could still get my money back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it keeps restarting every 10 mins, the wifi router is next to it with 70mbps available bandwidth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the Roku streaming stick but I it would be better if you could have HBO Now available. The other improvement is the remote. I have to constantly change the batteries. I've decided to take them out (after 5 changes) after using the device so they don't drain the batteries.

I have cable and so many times I still cant find anything worth watching. Well those days are over now I have Roku. Now my problem is I have too much to watch.

Upgraded our Roku

We upgraded our XD Roku for the Streaming Stick. I use it mostly for Pandora and Netflix. My favorite part is being able to select a specific Netflix account. It does disconnect from our home network occasionally (the reason behind the -1 star), but I just unplug it and plug it back in and it resets itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!
