We received a Roku as a Christmas gift and we liked it so much that we just bought a second one so that we can have one upstairs and one downstairs. We use both of them pretty much every day. With the use of the Roku Streaming Sticks we can choose what to watch, when to watch, and where to watch! It works flawlessly!!!

Prefer my 1st generation Roku 1

It was nice to have more stations than with my old Roku, as well 1080p vs 720p, though on my 42 inch screen watching Netflix I couldn't tell the difference even on 1080p broadcasts. I also liked the subtitle button added to the remote.
While Roku, as an interface is great, my stick had to be returned. There were 2 problems with the remote communicating to the stick: (1) the remote had to be pointed in a certain way or the command went unread, and (2) the stick and remote became un-paired regularly requiring a power-cycling of the stick.
My old Roku 1 responded faster to selections and, for Netflix, has a preferred interface that does not run Netflix previews automatically in the background.
I bought he stick for the increased resolution, greater channel selection and because my remote on the old unit is not working well. In the end I will happily continue my 1st generation Roku 1 for the reasons stated above.

Great features

Bought this about a month ago and it works great also good alternative if u have several tv's and don't want to pay additional fees for cable. I have time warner downloaded the app on my ROKU and I only pay for one box.

Great channel selection!

Although the remote sometimes doesn't respond, we overall love it. We have had to completely reset the system to get the remote to work. That's the only problem we've ever had.
