This item is great for those wanting to get into the wireless streaming game on a budget. Streams most content with no issues (depending on your internet speed). I do plan to upgrade to the Roku3.

Exceedingly poor results from two different units

Both Roku Sticks were new. The first couldn't make it passed initial setup, experiencing remote control and networking failures. The second completed initialization - eventually - but proved to be unwatchable due to crippling performance issues. (Even though the Roku indicated 'Excellent' signal strength and no other device on my wireless network has such difficulty.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2 sticks and still the second doesn't right

We have 2 sticks now and the first quit playing content coming with a blue screen saying the content was unauthorized, even though we know it was not. Second stick installed and stops every 2 minutes to load the next 2 minutes like the old Buffering computers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worth purchasing

I own 2 Roku ones, and this Roku stick. I love them all, but I really like the portability of the stick. I can put it in my purse and take it to a friends house. I love that it live streams my cable service, and I have been able to return most of my cable boxes. I do plan on purchasing more, but I will purchase more sticks or roku3 and above because they are HD. The upside to my Roku ones is that they connect to older t.v.s, dvd players and my projector. I have tried other streamers, but they don't offer what Roku offers. Tons and tons of FREE apps.

The best electronic device I ever bought

I bought one for all of us in the house. We cancelled cable because no one watched it and only stream through out awesome portable Roku devices. We take them everywhere we go. It's the most fabuloys invention. Fits in my purse, pocket and I love it!
