I don't need to watch commercials or wait to see a specific show. No more dvr, no more high cable bills and nothing on. Wish I had purchased a long time ago.
Not happy with the way the stick displays the list. You need a magnifier to see it. Like the regular Roku better. I have the Roku 1 and am very happy with it. I would not recommend the stick to anyone
I love our Roku streaming stick. It does exactly what you would expect it to do. However, there are some issues that Roku developers need to figure out: First, the remote can be unresponsive at times. I can't count the number of times I've gone to pause a show because someone is calling me, or I need to go do something real quick, and the remote simply doesn't work. It usually corrects itself after about 10 seconds, but it's quite annoying.
The second issue may not necessarily be with Roku, but I've noticed some well-documented issues with a few streaming channels that seem to get stuck loading content (typically stuck at 25%). The only way to correct this? Reset the Streaming Stick. It's nothing more than an inconvenience, but in today's world of "instant gratification", it can be irritating to have to reset the device just to get it to work correctly.
That said, I do like my streaming stick (I own two of them). I'm considering a third one, but honestly, the downsides mentioned above make me wonder if I shouldn't at least test-drive the competition, to see if it fares any better.
Product seems to do ok, but the remote quit working within days of receiving. We downloaded the app which has a remote control function so it suffices but is a pain nonetheless.
