We've had this roku for a few months now. But whenever our internet goes out at all for maintaince and things like that the roku has a hard time reconnecting. I have to hard reset every time it doesn't want to work which can be 1-2 times a month sometimes more. The features are great though. It's nice to have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have 3 streaming sticks. Overall I love them. The one installed in my basement will not run in HD because it has a hard time picking up my wifi down there. I would recommend using a wired Roku (2, 3 or 4) if you are going to install in a basement and your router is upstairs.

I have had a Roku 1 and so I know how these things work. I an a little un-happy about the way Netflix works but that is not your problem.

Great concept technology flop

Bought this for my dad for his birthday. I love my roku 3. Highly disappointed in the USB stick the remote does not work. Looked it up its a common hardware failure my dad had to return his birthday present
