I have one that works great, bought this one for upstairs. From day one the remote sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. When you keep trying it gets "locked" and whizzes through the shows and you can't make a choice. Also has to rebuffer ALL the time- my other one never does. Pretty frustrating.
I bought the stick for my snart tv as i couldn't get the channels i wanted. We a a streaming box a different tv. I got this stick free by buying 3 months of sling tv
I thought the box was going to be better but the stick is in my opinion better than the box. It's a whole new wonderful experience, fast, and the remote works throughout the room wherever it's pointed. Netflix is layed out different and I love it!!
It's an awesome tool to make dumb tv a smart one!!

I have more of an issue with the remote for the roku 3. It loses signal constantly so I'll use my smartphone to control but drains my phone battery quickly. The batteries on the remote for the roku also die super quickly. I think that the roku works great otherwise and has good content.
We have an older Sony streaming player but I was looking for something more portable. This streaming stick is great. all you need to do it plug it in to your TV's HDMI port and (if your TV has it) USB port and you are ready. (There is an included power cord as well for older TVs)
I love that there is so separate power cord that needs to be run. Once you take the 10-15 minutes or so to set the Roku up to connect to your Nexflix or Amazon services, these rest is a breeze.
I got this mostly for my kids to watch their shows and I love that I can easily move it from one TV to another just by unplugging two cables from the TV. It will definitely be handy when we go on vacation and can bring our streaming content with us.
Remote is so simple with the Netflix icon as a defined button. So easy my 4 year old can use this by himself.
