Great When It Works

My remote stopped working all of a sudden and I couldn't sync the Roku to the app to use a remote on my phone. Right now it's completely useless.

Better than nothing

I bought my Roku a month ago when I moved into my aunts house for college. I don't have a cable hook up in my room but she does have wifi so I decided to get a Roku. I was excited to finally have TV in my room but that excitement quickly ended. First off, it took a week for me to set up the stupid thing because of wifi issues. My room is right next to where the router is and I had big difficulties getting it to connect even with it being so close. If you are considering get a Roku, I suggest you have REALLY good internet. Even after set up, I have issues with the internet not being to load Netflix or Pandora or any of the other apps. If the other members in the house are home and using the internet, I basically can't use my Roku because of the amount of internet to the Roku needs to run well. I love it when it works, but unless the internet is the best it can be, its useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Roku Stick

The Stick has turned my ordinary TV into a mega TV/multi screening room theater/world wide radio and much more. We love it and rarely ever watch just plain old tv anymore. It was the best money we have spent in a very long time!

I got this for my birthday and I've used it more than anything! There are a lot of cool free channels you can get. It's not just for Netflix or Amazon! But it is the best option for me to watch Netflix! And you can control it with your smartphone!!!

I have a roku 3. Works awesome. Ordered Sling TV for 3 months, and got the stick for free. It is not quite as quick on the remote as the 3, but in terms of when I'm watching shows/movies, I have seen no difference whatsoever. Had I known better, I would have bought the stick instead of the 3. The major difference between the two is the 3's remote is heavier, and you can plug earphones into it - which is cool. Performance is nearly identical- and if I were to make a recommendation, I would recommend the stick!

This is my second stick and i just thought my first remote was bad. This remote has to have the batteries taken out and put back in every time i push a button. It constantly locks up.
