I Have bought Whirlpool appliances for the past 10 years. It's time to replace some of them . washer machine was next.

We got this new microwave 10/29/15. Its works great so far, and looks really good installed..BUT>>>I have two things that bothers me:the wonderful tune it plays when done cooking and timing something is tooo low...When the cook top fan is going and other kitchen noises, are involved you can't hear it..that was very disappointing,and you cannot increase the volume,maybe in the next generation of this microwave, Whirlpool will put a sound volume option in the program, most old people are hard of hearing.The second thing is it needs a light for the key pad when you turn on the cool stove light.The key pad buttons are very dark especially if you bought a black one as I did.And it appears on the stainless,the buttons are black also. A little "Blue" light might be good.My husband keeps a pin light next to the stove so he can read the buttons at night.I love Whirlpool and we are replacing my original appliances with them.But maybe these two things can be re-engineered in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The homebuilders chose Whirlpool so I didn't have a say. I like the microwave. It's pretty standard. Quiet, only beeps once when u left food in there, heats appropriately. I've had better microwaves...it's decent.
