Good microwave, easy to use, but the beeper on it is very strange and quiet. If you're not in the same room you wont hear it.

replacing older Whirlpool microwave

We needed to replace a Whirlpool microwave hood combination that we had happily used for over 14 years. This new one was the closest to what we had that we could find. It is very similar. The metal door seems a little lighter weight than the old one but it looks good and so far (~one and a half months) it works well. Time will tell if it lasts like the old one but the warranty is quite short...I think one year. Looks good and works well so far. I have not tried several features yet so cannot say anything about the cooking sensor.

I bought this microwave a month ago and I am so glad that we went with this one. I love all of the features and how quite it is. I even love the distinctive ding at the end of the cycle! I could not be happier.
