very well made ...simple to set up

I purchased my unit then 2 hours after I received it I ordered 2 more cameras.....
cameras are solid well made and very pleasing to look at.......
I set up system in minutes.... mounting cameras is easy.....after I found the perfect spots for the cameras....very important.....then drilled a few small holes in my house and ran the a/c cords inside to power....this takes the most time....I am very happy with defender products and customer service....friendly Emails etc....

great night vision properties

I purchased this about 3 weeks ago, And I am so glad I did, I have viewed others that have security systems and they do not compare to the defender PX301-011. It is one of the more affordable units on the market and works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

bad range

I purchased about a year ago. I was looking for an affordable security camera with dvr. For the money I won't complain too much. The system works pretty well. Motion activation lags a little bit again for the money it does pretty good. My major issue with this system is the range. If your home has metal or aluminum siding your lucky if you have a 30ft range. I live in a mobile home and have one camera at the front door and one at the back door. Unle_ I have the dvr(receiver) in the center of my home I only get one camera or the other. Like I said for the money it works.

I purchased one set about 60 days ago, liked them so much I purchased a second set for the back yard pool area. This system is so easy to set up, right out of the box, anyone can do this.

Simple and effective

I installed this system about two weeks ago. The installation was simple and the cameras capture the areas that I was most concerned with. The clarity of the night vision was above my expectation. The intercom system works well and is also clear. The monitor can be placed anywhere in the house. If you are looking for that little extra bit of peace of mind around your home or business for a fair price, this unit is a good choice. I might be adding two more cameras to complete the system.
