Despite the lack of Apple lightning, DVI and HDMI jacks, this projector is bright, bright, bright. The next step up in brightness can cost $1600 additional, so this is a sweet spot at 4000 lumens. Others are always wanting to borrow this projector instead of using theirs, which often have all the pixels, bells, whistles, and connectivity. Canon quality in a maintenance friendly package. Light, and came with a carrying bag, which you will need as people will want to use it. This projector is used for presentations and not HDTV or movies. It's quiet enough for meetings.

Love it but...

We just bought this projector and right out of the box I can tell you it is great. The only problem we have found is that we were spoiled by our previous Canon project because it had every connection I believe possible for the time I bought it, around 2003. I was use to having a DVI, and in this day and age every projector should have a HDMI as well, this projector has neither. Thank goodness for adapters. We use this projector as our home Theater projection and with 4000 lumens, in a room with the lights on, there is no problem except needing adapters to connect to your newer computers.
Pros: High brightness, Excellent Color Reproduction, High Image Clarity, High resolution, High contrast ratio, easy to use
Cons: lack of dvi, lack of hdmi
I would recommend this to a friend!
