Just the right size and weight

Super steam, easy glide iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron has a unique design in the narrow neck, which is especially helpful when ironing quilt tops. The nonstick finish allows for smoother ironing. I love the large steam and spray buttons. My favorite thing about this iron is the steam, no wimpy shot of steam, this is a steam blast! Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this iron. The main purpose for this iron was to iron on scout badges for my son. It worked so well that I use it more than my clothes steamer. The non stick plate did not stick. It heats fast and irons quickly. I also love the retractable cord.

I Hated Ironing, but Not Anymore!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was growing up, ironing seemed like a punishment. We had to sprinkle clothes prior to ironing, then roll them up to evenly distribute the moisture, then sometimes place them in the freezer for later so they wouldn’t mildew because there were so many pieces needing to be ironed. If I had been able to use an iron like the Durathon Iron it would not have seemed like such a chore. It moves smoothly and I love the steam burst feature. It’s the added kick needed with cloth placemats that have never had an iron used on them before. Quite frankly, I have avoided using an iron for years. From now on, I may even look for opportunities to use this one.
I also love how easy it is to fill and empty the water reservoir. The color and style are very pleasing to the eye. The chord stays well out of the way and has a handy length. Overall, I’m very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron has a very “strange shape.” The front 1/3 of the sole plate is very narrow when compared to other irons. But as it turns out, it is the perfect shape for dealing with collars, cuffs, pleats, ruffles, kids cothes, etc. I thought it might be a problem with large flat items, like tablecloths, but that wasn’t the case!
The iron is lightweight, and seems to glide across the fabric, and does a great job ironing/pressing without having to go back over the same area multiple times. The iron is well balanced, and the light weight kept my arms from getting tired. The cord is long enough to be used anywhere, and has a “swivel” plug where it attaches to the iron, protecting the cord, & making it easy for both & right & left handers to use, while it out of your way when ironing.
I have small hands, but the distance between the steam/spray buttons and the cord swivel is a bit too short. The heel of my hand either rested on the cord swivel, or the side of my index finger rested on the spray button (l- not enough to activate the spray, but enough to be awkward. I think this would be a problem for anyone with wider hands.
If the steam/spray buttons were moved forward a bit this would be a “perfect” iron! Unfortunately, I could only give it 4 stars. If you are looking for a new iron, definetly check this one out.

Makes ironing easier !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Hamilton iron about 3 weeks ago. Have used it several times. It works get, one pass over wrinkles and they are gone. It glides over everything, no matter the thickness of the material. It has a nice long cord, that swivels which I really like. The iron is light weight and easy to handle. Great steam amount when needed. It is a great quality iron. I really like the feature of having a snap cap over were you fill the water, that way none leaks out, smart move ! Easy to read words on unit itself, like water fill line etc. It also is self cleaning. Over all I would say it is a GREAT iron !!!

The burst of steam is fantastic. Glides over fabric with no problem. Easy to iron linens. The cord is about 2 feet longer than my old iron.
