My first time using the iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the iron for the first time today. I would have liked for the water fill cover to open up farther, but it is ok. I got set up and turned it on. It was hot and ready in 2 minutes. I ironed 2 shirts using steam, and some underwear without steam. I liked how it worked. I like that it is light, but heavy enough to do the job.
The controls worked good and are easy to use. I'm sure that I will do more ironing now that I've got a good iron to work with.

It’s all about the steam

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy making kids clothes and getting crisp seams is so important to making a garment look great.. the steam feature on this iron is amazing. This feature alone for me makes this iron a class winner!! However the buttons are large and user friendly. It’s easy to pour water and see when you are out of water.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice iron but…not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iron heats quickly and does a very nice job. However, there was some sort of residue on the sole plate that left a slight mark on my perfectly white towel which you can see on the picture. Fortunately I used a towel and not a shirt which would have ruined the item. For that reason, this product only got 4 stars.

I'm finally replacing my 65-year old iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron is light enough to be easy to use but still has enough weight to make it effective. It heats quickly and maneuvers easily. The upright steam feature is very useful in take out wrinkle "spots".It's larger than the iron I've used for 50+ years, but the only other one I've liked and worked well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased that I chose this iron the ease of use and how quickly it removes the wrinkles. I love how I can hang something up and use the steam feature to remove the wrinkles. It's easy-to-use and keep clean. I would highly recommend this iron I have brought some of the more expensive brand that haven't worked as well as this one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the feature to clean the steam holes with a touch of the button. The no stick surface as it does not scratch when ironing jeans with rivets. One change would be to make it lighter as my 84 year old mother has a hard time with it due to it being to heavy for her. All in all it itls an amazing product

Nor fancy but good, solid basic iron

* the front sole plate is narrower than my previous iron (not a Hamilton Beach) which makes it easer to iron in smaller pieces of clothing. It is also easier to iron between the buttons of a dress shirt.
* It is not a heavy iron so it is easy to hold.
* The semi-transparent top cover allows you to see the remaining water level.
* The water tank cover
* The self clean button. My older, more expensive iron did not have this feature.
* The handle is soft to the touch which makes it comfortable to hold.

I haven't had the opportunity to use this iron over a lengthy period of time so don't know how it will hold up in the long run. So far, as stated in my review title, this is not a fancy iron but it has all of the necessary features and is a solid basic iron.
The only "Con" I have experienced is there is no cord wrap which makes it a little awkward to store , hence the 4 store review.
