Suddenly Can Not Watch Netflix Movies
on December 20, 2014
Posted by: Anonymous
Netlfix movies failed to completely load then error message aip701 appears.unable to load movie try again. Contacted the tech support for Netgear router, and Time Warner cable providers who conducted a complete diagnostics and found no problems with their systems. Spoke to several Sony tech support and one rep finallyemailed me some articles but still did not fix the problem. Gave up trying after more than a dozen attempts. I will be hesitate to buy another Sony Blu Ray Theater System..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the surround sound...with no wires across the room.
It did quit working after a couple of months...but, Sony repair center in TX fixed with no charge. Has worked great since...over a year.

Quit working in just over a year

Sony has always had my faithful following until now. Bought this package in late 2013 and it has now failed. It won't fully turn on, just continually loads with the display going from bright to dim, but will never power on. You can't change function and there is no disc in it either.
I have read online several other complaints of this, Sony has clearly dropped the ball and had a subpar product on the market that they're not willing to stand behind.

Hi JR24, we're sorry for the bad experience here. Let me forward this to the proper department. In the meantime, try unplugging the Home Theater system for at least 30m and then try again. Thanks! Regards,

Does everything and does it well. Didn't bankrupt me to buy it and didn't drive me nuts putting it together. I'm real happy with its versatility and my neighbors like it too!

Sony Blueray HDB-N790w

At first I liked the unit. The more I used it the more it let me down.
The surroud speakers (rear) have little or no bass. Most of the time you hear something that sounds like something fell in the kitchen.
Long time to boot around 40secs after the tv comes on and reads no signal. I completly do not understand how you mount the speakers from the rear. If it means removing the black rectangular cap on the back, forget about it. I would create more damage to the speakers.
Try finding speaker stands for that syatem. I ended up buying flat
stands that are too large for the rear speakers looks weird. Every
speaker stand I tried would not mount the speakers with that bottom mount setup. If Im wrong about my review can someone let me know.

Hello coump! We would like to recommend to follow the next steps to make sure that the settings of the unit are set properly to be able to allow sound through the rear speakers :

1 - Press HOME.
2 - Select [Setup] ► Select [System Settings] ► [Wireless Sound Connection] ►[Secure Link] ►[On] ► Press SECURE LINK on the rear of the surround amplifier ► Select [Start].

When it is set properly it will show a message stating the following: [Secure Link setting is complete.]

Make sure that the Sound effects are set properly and that the speaker Level is increased:

1 - Press HOME.
2 - Select [Setup] ► [Audio Settings] and check the following settings :

- Select [Attenuate - AUDIO] and make sure that is set to OFF.
- Select [Audio Output] and make sure that is set to [Speaker + HDMI]
- Select [Sound Effect] and change setting to Dolby Pro Logic to be able to activate a 5.1 ouput.
- Select [Speaker Settings] ► [Level] and change the the parameters to + 6 for [Surround Left/Right] speakers.

To be able to remove the stand properly please follow the speaker installation guide using the link below:
