Samsung 55" 8550

My new 8550 is a great TV. I am eagerly awaiting 4K content, but in the meantime, it is giving me a great picture on regular HD content. The colors are great and the blacks are black. It has nice brightness so there is no problem with the picture in a bright room. I do wish I could have gone bigger, but isn't that always the case? The only cons I have found involve the battle between the TV and my Logitech remote. They don't seem to get along. And, I have to change the picture between sports and regular TV, as I get a little blur in football games.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: needs hot buttons to switch the blur feature

This tv has a lot of features. I've had it for a few months now I don't think I've leads all there is on it yet. The set up is easy from connecting to your network to setting up your samsung account! The image is so clear and detailed you can notice some of the actors mistakes this is the only down fall I can say about this tv. It's the best I've owned so far and I own a lot of tv.

This TV is just almost perfect. The only thing lacking is the sound. Other than that it is perfect. Picture is really nice and if you hook it up to a good sound system you will get the sound that you expect. Since we are limited for space I got the Samsung soundstand that just does a fantastic job. The arc feature is a plus. You would not go wrong with this TV.

This is my second Samsung TV, I replaced a 7 year old 46" Samsung that we are using in bedroom now and it is still working great. The U8550 is a great tv, I love the smart tv features, all the apps download quickly with the quad core processor. After some picture adjustments I now have black and white levels perfect and picture is awesome. I was expecting the sound quality to be a little better than it is, its just ok, am using sound output through my stereo system so its not that big a deal. A swivel mount would be nice. The 4K on this set is unbeleivable as well as the 3D. Love the TV.
