Not very protective

This case looked really nice, fit my phone well and I love that I can see the time and dets of incoming calls without opening it. However, it does a poor job of protecting the phone. A couple of months into having my phone is this case, I dropped it from about 2.5 foot distance. The cover flapped open and the phone easily fell out of the case, face down,...shattered screen. When I got a replacement phone (which was sadly not the same color as my original S6 edge) I invested in a screen protector. That was a great move because I have dropped the phone a couple more times, both times it fell in the same way with the cover flapping open and the phone landing face down. This case costs way too much to do such a poor job.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
